ZARAFA DESIGN AND INSTALL PERMANENT TROLLEY SYSTEM
The Zarafa team have designed and installed a bespoke access system for Tate Gallery in Liverpool.
The existing, completely manual, soft rope based system was very old and due a replacement with a more modern, suitable machine. The existing system was designed for a very specific set of conditions (limited space, front wheels running directly on the parapet). Matching those specifications on the new machine, or where impossible - upgrading the setup on site, was a big challenge and required a lot of involvement from experienced site engineers and close collaboration between the Zarafa and manufacturer's design teams.
The resulting design is one of the smallest, lightest and most compact roofcars provided by Zarafa.
The new system allows for seamless, effortless travel along the facade and is in line with the current regulations.
